Stephanie N. – Certified Veterinary Technician

I grew up right here in Cranberry Township! My inspiration to become a Veterinary Technician was my strong love of animals which all began when I was a child watching Animal Planet shows such as “The Crocodile Hunter” for hours!  I am a Certified Veterinary Technician/Nurse (CVT).  I obtained this certification after receiving an Associate Degree of Veterinary Technology from the Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh. I have also previously earned a BS in Biology from Westminster College, with a minor in Psychology. Although I am just beginning my career in veterinary medicine; I already love so much about it!  My favorite part of this career is the ability to make a difference in the lives of each patient and client I work with every day, along with the opportunity to learn from all the compassionate and skilled vets and techs at this hospital! I find special interest in laboratory work and understanding animal behavior to ensure patients have the most stress-free experience possible. My family consists of my husband and our two fluffy children: a tortie cat named Amethyst, and a corgi named Toasty. During my free time, I enjoy taking Toasty on walks, hiking, birding, reading, photography, and spending time with friends.
