Dr. Meg Knox is from Duvall, Washington, a small town outside of the Seattle area. She’s always had an interest in life sciences, medicine, and animals. Growing up, these interests grew as she volunteered at a local greyhound rehabilitation and rescue center, competed in FFA vet science events, and showed her pet rabbit at the fair.
Dr. Knox earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Washington in Seattle. She then attended Washington State University where she graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She chose Pittsburgh as her new home to be closer to family as they slowly migrated back to the Midwest.
While she adores all things veterinary medicine, Dr. Knox is particularly passionate about soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, and client communication. In her free time, she loves thrifting, reading, exploring the city, watching theater, and running with her dog, Bernadette Peters.
