Katie E. - Veterinary Assistant

Katie is one of our senior veterinary assistants and has been a part of our team since 2020. She originally went to Indiana University of Pennsylvania to study Criminology before attending Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh where she graduated in 2018. She has worked in many different areas of the field since, her favorites including surgery and large animal/farm animal medicine. Katie is especially focused on making sure that our more fearful patients feel comfortable during their visits here and that all our owners are educated about what is going on with their pets.

While Katie loves all our patients, she has a soft spot for our Pitbull patients as she has one at home, named Denny, along with two cats, Popcorn and Ella (who is 18 years old and lives at home with her mom for a more laid-back lifestyle). Outside of work, she enjoys spending her time walking her dog, baking, and relaxing with friends.
